• are run by knowledgeable and enthusiastic individuals,

• have a longer-term impact on their beneficiaries through the work they do and the relationships they build with them,

• are smaller in size but big on impact and

• are unique or different in terms of what they offer, how they deliver it or their general approach to addressing the needs of their beneficiaries.
